Our spacious lounge is for the use of our guests to relax in after the stresses of their journey, where we serve drinks from our dispense bar, be it pre dinner as your meal is freshly cooked or a nightcap. The lounge coal fire is lit daily once the cooler weather arrives in the autum where you can curl up on one of our settees and read a book or plan your next days outing into our beautiful Lake District fells, visit Beatrix Potters Hill Top House, or one of Wordsworths houses. A real treat for the Arts & Crafts followers amongst you is the White Room at Blackwell just 4 minutes away by car, they also have an excellent cafe serving local traditional dishes and cakes. A Boat trip on the Lake must have a high priority as must a visit to the many attractions.
There are local magazines and walking books for you to peruse, and a selection of board games, cards and dominoes to play.
